Motion-capture golf coach · Made in Wales
Fix your over-the-top.
We measure the club and the body.
Six identical sensors — on your club, your hand, your forearm, your back — and a free app that tells you out loud what your swing just did. No studio, no subscription, no guessing what a good swing feels like.
The problem
A good swing and a bad swing feel almost the same.
Your launch monitor tells you what happened to the ball. Your coach tells you what to change. Neither is with you on the range on a Tuesday, when the swing that felt great went forty yards right. MoCaddieIQ measures what your body and club actually did — and says so, out loud, while the feel is still in your hands.
Direct measurement
A sensor on the club and sensors on the body. A wrist-only device has to infer where the club is; a camera has to guess at depth. We put a sensor where the question is.
Spoken feedback
"Clean swing — feel that one and repeat it." The phone stays on the tripod. You hear the result, you feel the swing, you repeat it. That is the whole method.
One sensor, any position
Every sensor is identical. Position is a setting. Start with three, add three more later, and a spare fits anywhere — nothing to re-buy.
How it works
Strap on. Swing. Hear it.
Strap on and pair
Grip sensor in the butt of the club, the rest on straps and a glove clip. Under a minute. The app calibrates from your address position, so where exactly a strap sits does not matter.
Swing normally
Every swing is captured and analysed on the phone: tempo, face, path, attack, the plane the club came down on, and — with the body sensors — the turn, the X-factor and whether the hips led.
One correction, out loud
Not a data dump. The one thing costing you most, in plain English, with the drill that fixes it. Drill Mode then grades every repetition against the position, and says "on target" when you are.
The kits
Three kits. One sensor.
Buy more of the same sensor, unlock more of the swing. Target prices, subject to final costing; the app is free with every kit.

Where we are
In development. Built in the open.
MoCaddieIQ is not on sale yet. The sensor hardware and the app exist and are being tested on real swings; a feasibility study with independent validation is planned for 2027, ahead of launch. Everything on this site that is measured is described as measured, and everything that is still an estimate says so. If a claim on a page is more than we can show, tell us and we will change the page.
Takeaway drill & swing-length ladder
Graded to ±1.5°, coached by voice, scored per repetition.
Full-swing analysis
Tempo, plane, transition, impact; sequence and X-factor with the body sensors.
Pressure insoles, wrist angles, finish rating
Designed and specified; not yet demonstrable.

Questions
Straight answers.
What is MoCaddieIQ?
A set of small wearable motion sensors for golf — on your club, hand, forearm and, with the larger kits, your back and pelvis — and a free phone app that measures your swing and gives spoken feedback. It measures the club and the body directly rather than inferring one from the other.
How much does it cost?
Three kits are planned: Kit 1 Wrist & Club (3 sensors) £199–249, Kit 2 Full Body (6 sensors) £399–449, Kit 3 Pro (6 sensors plus pressure insoles) £649–799. Target prices, subject to final costing. The app is free and there is no subscription.
When can I buy it?
It is in development, with a feasibility study and validation planned for 2027 ahead of launch. Join the launch list and we will tell you when it is available.
Is there a subscription?
No. The sensors are the product and the app is free. That is the opposite of the subscription model most of the category runs on.
Does it fix an over-the-top swing?
It measures it. The club sensor measures whether the club comes down steeper than it went back — the over-the-top move — on every swing, and the body sensors in Kit 2 show whether the hips or the shoulders started the downswing. A pump drill grades the fix rep by rep, out loud.
Does it work with my coach?
That is the idea. The message is "between lessons", not "instead of lessons": your coach's instruction survives the week because the app measures the thing they told you to change. Coaches get named PDF reports and can run a Swing Clinic on a student — see For coaches.
Android or iPhone?
Android first, the platform the sensors are being developed on. iPhone follows.
